Solar cells

Solar cells are pieces of equipment that convert solar energy into electricity. Cells are similar to solar panels. However, cells can be a variety of sizes. Some cells are small and some are large.

Large solar cells are used in the space industry. Some of them power satellites and other objects in space. Small solar cells can power small items, like a calculator.

Solar cells are used to power a variety of items. Some of these items need a large cell and some of them need a small cell. But there are also items that need a group of solar cells in order to receive enough energy. This group of cells is called a module.
